The high school finished up 2025 with ancient history, food and sewing units where students were amazed by all the new skills they learned.  One highlight from first semester was our Career Fair where many occupations were represented.  Excitement is in the air now as we embark on a brand new year!

We are looking forward to learning employability skills, including opportunities to demonstrate those skills as they are learned.  We anticipate having guest speakers, who are employers, to talk about the skills they require of their employees.  Mock interviews will be a vital part of utilizing the skills students learn during class time.  Students will also learn about and practice finance topics as they relate to them, as well as how to be smart consumers.  Also on the agenda this semester we will study fashion design and interior design as it relates to them and their families.

A great benefit of the curriculum we use at Woodfield Academy is the importance placed on life skills. Students obviously need academic skills, so that is top priority; but the development of practical skills that students need as they maneuver high school and beyond are also of great importance.

We look forward to all 2026 will bring in learning and experiences for our students. We appreciate all our community partners who help bring student learning to life.
