November has arrived, and with it comes a special opportunity to reflect on the many blessings we experience each day here at Woodfield. As teachers, we are constantly reminded of how lucky we are to be part of such a supportive and joyful school community.
The Life Skills class wrapped up a nutrition unit filled with hands-on learning. From identifying healthy food choices to creating recipes in the kitchen, this class has been learning all about food groups. Cooking together has sparked not only new skills, but also plenty of laughter, teamwork, and pride in what they can achieve.
We are now looking forward to our High School Thanksgiving Feast, a favorite tradition for our students and staff. As we prepare, we’re taking the time to reflect on gratitude and appreciate the people, experiences, and places that make our lives better.
One of the greatest joys of teaching at Woodfield is hearing from families about the growth they see in their children, whether it’s newfound confidence, stronger friendships, or a happier outlook on school. Watching students come out of their shells and shine is truly the heart of what we do. This season reminds us how thankful we are for a school that celebrates every student’s strengths, for students who bring curiosity and kindness into the classroom, for families who support and cheer on their children, and for a staff that works together like family.
Woodfield is more than a school. It’s a place where students feel safe to be themselves, discover their potential, and experience a true sense of belonging. For that, we are deeply grateful.
